Elder on Gov. Whitmer’s second State of the State address
“Gov. Whitmer’s address served as an important reminder that the status quo of the past few decades has been characterized by unsafe and crumbling infrastructure, disinvestment in education and shrinking economic opportunities. Our people deserve better.
“Simply maintaining the past trajectory for our state is not an option. Every Michigander should be able to access a world-class education, drive on safe roads and secure high-quality employment opportunities, and I’m proud to stand alongside the governor in the fight to make that a reality.”
State Rep. Brian Elder (D-Bay City) was joined by SVSU President Donald Bachand for Gov. Whitmer’s second State of the State address at the Capitol in Lansing on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020.
